I do not think the transcript I just read of the debate would convince me not to vote for the lesser of the two evils. Perhaps the televised version convinced some people to vote for the greater of the two evils. Who knows? I did not watch it, only read it.
People who say that PBS would do fine in the free market (whatever that is) need to remember what happened to the Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel and the History Channel. If you don't think we need the cultural and educational niche PBS fills, fine, but own that position, don't insult us by telling us all will be okay.
