We live a couple of blocks from there and frequently ate and/or drank there; they were always full, and the problem wasn't the location. I say that because I have an idea for anyone who has a bit more money than I have to take up the lease. It is an idea rooted in Portland's history. Does everyone remember that Bill Naito bought the Montgomery Ward building in Northwest and was too cheap to rename it, so he changed it to "Montgomery Park" and only had to change two letters? This is like that. Lease the "First National Taphouse" (which has two signs advertising it as such) , take down the word "First" from both sides, re-purpose the "I," the "R" and the other "R' to turn the pl...
