#16 bus was early today! By which I mean, the #16 before mine was SO late it showed up just before mine should have. #Trimet #PDXTraffic

Haven't seen many blind teenagers staggering around this afternoon. We olds do not have a good track record with the threat that "If you do X you'll go blind!"

Even the scientists involved in the Trinity test never really believed we'd make it 72 years. I guess we should call this a success.

If I were writing the Great Dystopian Novel, I'd have the Cascadian Megaquake take place on a day with recording-breaking heat when Canadian fires were sending smog into Lower Cascadia. Or, conceivably, when the city was shut down by snow and ice. We got through the latter scenario...

OTOH, a plus-100°F heat wave isn't the ideal time to run out of deodorant. #PoorLifeChoices
