I was just reading a passage in an Atlas of World History about pottery during the rise of agriculture, only I read the word as "poetry." So this is what I read:

"Poetry became common in early farming settlements where it was needed for storage and cooking. Poetry led to other technological breakthroughs...The wheel too was first used as an aid to making poetry."
