There's often an odd symmetry, I've noticed, to life in PDX.

There's often an odd symmetry, I've noticed, to life in PDX. Today's theme was "Pigstuff". We walked the beagle puppy up by Piggott's Castle. (The older beagle isn't that into hill walks.) Then, we came home and walked Clyde, the older beagle. Downstairs, at the end of the South Park Blocks, a real-live fat pig was quietly grazing. Here he is, in front of Shattuck Hall. (I had to run upstairs to get my camera. Lesson learned: never go anywhere in this town without a camera.)
The pig was at the Farmer's Market on Saturday. Personally, I think he'd want to stay well clear of Olympic Provisions, but I guess it's his funeral.
