Grow up. Elected is elected and appointed is appointed. If I lived in Travis County-- which, thank the gods, I don't, anymore, yeah, sure, I probably wouldn't vote for this particular DA. The Texas Constitution is idiotic and convoluted and crazylong and appended way too much, but it is what it is and Perry-- at the very least-- circumnavigated it, which a governor shouldn't do. I also don't have much sympathy for Texas Republicans who voted for W. Bush 500,000 times suddenly weeping and crying and gnashing their teeth about public official's DUI's.
