I only today found out the NFL was classified as a non-profit. That's absurd. "Non-profit" is ridiculous. If Congress really wants to let them be tax-exempt, classifying them as a "church" would make more sense. After all, they operate mainly on Sunday, have arcane rituals that seem a bit absurd to outsiders like me, and require and receive unquestioning loyalty.
