TOURIST IN PSU FARMERS MARKET BY FIVE-PERSON-LONG LINE FOR PINE STATE BISCUITS: (to family) That line's too long. We'll go somewhere else.
ME (aside): Oh, tourist. If you can't handle a five-person line at Pine State, you can't handle the mean streets of Portland. How long are you staying? You'll probably starve to death here.

  1. I'd wait in a line 10 people long or more

  4. Shelly Humula I regularly wait in line for Pine State. The only time I go to Voodoo is when we have relatives from out of town visiting who insist on going.

  5. I stood in a 15 person line for Por Que No this weekend, because... Why not! Always yummy. Those tourists would have been five times as inpatient!

  6. Ah the proliteriat in the Republic of Portland... My line standing capabilities far outmeasure yours. I once waited four hours for shrimp & grits at Screendoor. Dessert was a mere 1.5 hours at Salt & Straw... Then I went to Powell's I just hung out behind people so I could feel like I was in line. Then I has to hit the head so I really DID have to wait in line for the can. Gawd, what a town.
