su ann lim, we took #AustintheBeagle  on a walk this evening and stopped off by the froyo place for dessert. We had him tied to the bench we were sitting on outside and he wiggled out of his harness like lightning and ran like the wind down the city street. Still an escape artist after all these years! Fortunately, he is trained to sit and wait when we yell his name.

  1. Hi Barry Cochran big hugs to AustintheBeagle.  |o) How |in the world did you train him to sit and wait when you yell his name?  Most beagles are  not that cooperative!.

  3. Oh my. Thank goodness he's trained to stop. I've had A few terrifying experiences when my Bulldog ran into the street in front of a car. I have to keep her on a " tight leash " literally because she's deaf and it's useless to holler for her to stop or come back. My Doberman will usually stop when we yell at him to stop. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿพ

  4. su ann lim lots of work. I trained him to balance a treat on his nose, too. Not having so much luck training him to run beside my bicycle. Yes, it could have been disastrous if he hadn't stopped.
