A new vegan restaurant opened in our neighborhood, about a block away. Walking over to get bagels this morning, I looked at the menu in the window. It was all barbecued "chikken" and pulled "porck" and "beeaf" brisket. I don't always eat vegan, but, when I do, I prefer vegan options that aren't so closeted. It's cool; let your vegan flag fly! Don't pretend you just misspelled the meat dish and go a little easier on the quotation marks.
